What a REGEN membership actually gives you

Most of the skin and scalp problems I see in clinic are not caused by the wrong treatment. They are caused by the right treatment, done once, and then never repeated. Someone books a beautiful ninety minutes for a birthday or a bad month, feels the difference, and then eighteen months pass before I see them again. By then, the benefit has long since gone.

That pattern is entirely human, and it is exactly what a membership is designed to interrupt. So rather than let the word "membership" do the talking — it tends to conjure gym contracts and forgotten direct debits — I want to set out plainly what a REGEN membership includes, what it costs relative to booking visit by visit, and who I would honestly steer away from one.

The principle first: rhythm beats rescue

Skin and scalp are living tissue on a cycle. The scalp in particular responds to regular care — consistent cleansing of the follicle environment, improved circulation from massage, and the measurable drop in tension that comes from an hour where nobody can reach you. None of this is exotic. It is simply maintenance, and maintenance only works when it happens on a rhythm.

This is the thinking behind the Nurture pillar of the REGEN Method: the results that matter are the ones still visible a year from now, and those come from a structured, ongoing relationship rather than occasional rescue visits. A membership is the simplest possible structure for that. You stop renegotiating with your diary every month, because the decision is already made.

    The Head Spa Ritual membership

Our flagship membership in Norwich is built around the Japanese Head Spa — the treatment this clinic is best known for locally, and the one clients most often tell me they wish they did more regularly.

The Head Spa Ritual membership is £85 per month. Each month it includes one 60-minute Japanese Head Spa — the full ritual, with deep scalp cleanse and exfoliation, scalp massage, the water halo, oil massage and finish — together with priority booking, which matters more than it sounds in a clinic where Saturdays fill quickly. Members also receive member rates on the longer 90- and 120-minute rituals, and a guest pass each quarter at the member rate, for the friend or partner you have been meaning to bring.

Two design decisions are worth knowing about, because they are the difference between a membership that respects you and one that traps you. First, if life intervenes and you miss a month, your visit rolls over to the following month rather than vanishing. Second, there is no long contract: the membership continues month to month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice.

On the arithmetic: a 60-minute Head Spa booked individually is £105, so the membership prices the same ritual at £85 for someone attending monthly. That is a fair saving, but I would rather you joined for the rhythm than the discount. If the saving is the only appeal, a membership is probably not the right instrument for you — more on that below.

    Who a membership suits

The members who get the most from this are consistent by intention rather than by accident. They tend to fall into three groups: people using the Head Spa as genuine stress management, who protect the appointment the way they would protect anything else that keeps them well; people working on scalp and hair health over the long term, where monthly care compounds quietly; and people who simply know themselves well enough to admit that if it is not automatic, it will not happen.

    Who it doesn't

I would not recommend a membership to someone who has never had the treatment. Book a single Japanese Head Spa first, see how you respond to it, and decide afterwards. A membership entered into on the strength of one good experience you have actually had is a sound decision; one entered into on the strength of a webpage is not.

Equally, if your visits are naturally occasional — a gift visit once or twice a year, a pre-event treat — then simply booking as you go is the honest answer, and we are entirely happy to see you that way. Individual bookings are not a lesser tier of client. They are most of our clients.

    Membership, course, or one-off?

It is worth separating the three, because they solve different problems. A one-off booking suits a specific moment. A course of treatments suits a defined goal over a fixed window — a set number of sessions, then review. A membership suits maintenance with no end date: the care is the point, not a destination. If you are unsure which describes you, that is a conversation rather than a checkout decision, and it is exactly what a consultation is for.

How this fits the REGEN Method

The Method runs in four stages — Reveal, Elevate, Generate, Nurture — and a membership sits squarely in the fourth. Nurture is the part most clinics skip, because it is the least dramatic: no new diagnosis, no first result, just the unglamorous business of keeping what you have built. It is also the stage that decides whether any of the earlier work still shows in a year.

That is worth being clear about, because a membership is not a shortcut into the Method. If you have a concern that has not been properly assessed — pigmentation, thinning, persistent irritation — the honest starting point is Reveal, not a monthly plan. The membership is what maintenance looks like once you know what you are maintaining. For a client whose priority is scalp health, stress and consistency, it may be the only stage they ever need, and that is a perfectly complete relationship with this clinic.

    Frequently asked questions

Is there a contract or minimum term?

No long contract. The Head Spa Ritual membership runs month to month and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.

What happens if I miss a month?

Your unused visit rolls over to the following month, so an interrupted month is not a lost one. Rollover applies for one month, which keeps the membership honest as a monthly rhythm rather than an accumulating IOU.

Is a membership better value than booking each visit?

For someone attending monthly, yes — the included 60-minute ritual is £105 booked individually versus £85 within the membership. For someone attending two or three times a year, individual booking is better value, and I will tell you so.

Do I need a consultation before joining?

No. The Japanese Head Spa can be booked directly, and so can the membership. Where a consultation earns its place is when you have a skin, scalp or hair concern you want properly assessed before deciding on any plan — that is what the Reveal Consultation is for.

Is the Head Spa suitable for everyone?

For most people, yes — it is a non-invasive scalp and wellbeing ritual. If you have an active scalp condition, a recent procedure, or anything you are unsure about, mention it when you book and we will advise before your first visit.

Is the membership available in London?

The Head Spa Ritual membership is a Norwich offering, based at our King Street clinic. Our current memberships and packages are listed on the memberships page.

    Where to start

If you already know the Head Spa is your treatment, the membership is the simplest way to make it a habit rather than an occasion — the current options are on our memberships and packages page. If what you actually have is a question about your skin, scalp or hair, start further back: book a Reveal Consultation and let us assess properly before recommending anything at all.
